Mixtape vol 2
In an effort to relive the magic of making mixtapes back in the day, I’m making mixtapes again! These songs aren’t necessarily my favorite songs or anything but they are a great sampling of what you would hear if you were sharing earbuds with me.
I tried this out with Volume 1 a few months back and I loved it so much that volume 2 is now ready to go just in time for Valentine’s Day!
This is supposed to be a fun experiment so just plug in, sit back, and enjoy the music. Hopefully you will find a new favorite song or two!

Trying Something New #mixtape
I tend to get into grooves of music and listen to the same stuff over and over for a given period of time. Once I start to get tired of those songs or find new music, I move on and adjust my playlists accordingly. I am always curious to look back at what group of songs I was listening to 6 months, 1 year, or 10 years ago so I came up with an idea to start taking snapshots of my favorite music. IDEA: Turntable.fm for airplane flights
Seriously, you have a captive audience for hours that knows nothing about each other. What better way to learn about someone than by having them
spin some tunes? You can integrate it in to the seatback displays and voila! I know they already do this with a trivia game so it’s definitely possible. Everyone is listening to music anyways and the entertainment value of this would be very high.
I think this is a great idea, someone tell the guys at turntable.fm for me!

I heard MoneyGrabber a while back but was skeptical of buying the whole album since I could only hear short previews on iTunes/Amazon. Enter spotify. I signed up this morning and discovered a fantastic hidden perk to the service: Listening to full albums whenever you want! One listen-through later and I have a new album purchased from Amazon for $5.99. Hooray, the system works!
